Physiotherapy and Wellness
Physiotherapy and Wellnes
An ever faster paced life-style, lack of exercise and improper nutrition are among problems affecting many members of today's society. More and more people are beginning to realize, however, that this way of life is not healthy and can often lead to so-called "diseases of civilization" as are obesity, diabetes, hypertension, back and spinal problems. Changing ones life style is not an easy task. If you have decided to take this difficult step, surely you ask yourself: "What should I do and how?"
Our team of expert professionals would like help you and has designed a number of special medical, physiotherapeutic and relaxation programs.
The section of physiotherapy, balneology and medical rehabilitation of our clinic works together closely and actively with the other departments in the treatment of patients. We most often have clients suffering from some sort of functional pathology (the most common one being back pain), posture problems, muscle imbalance, but also with structural dysfunctions, arthritis of the hips, knees, vertebral joints and patients after some sort of trauma. A large percentage of our clients is made up of women who want to conceive but are unable to do so. We treat them with the Cech and Mojzis method, through training of the pelvic muscles and other methods. We pay special attention to pregnant patients and women who have given birth and who want to regain their previous body proportions and condition.
The time of menopause in women is often times accompanied by a risk of osteoporosis or incontinence and both problems can be significantly helped through physiotherapy.
The first important step is the correct diagnosis of the patient’s problem. This lies in the competency of the rehabilitation doctor, who in turn suggests the appropriate therapeutic strategy. He/She will treat the patients with methods of manual myoskeletal medicine – chiropractic; if necessary also with injections or acupuncture and will transfer the patient to the physiotherapist, who will apply one of the forms of physical therapy – ultrasound, electrotherapy, and who will conduct a kinesiologic analysis of the entire movement apparatus, based on which he/she will choose the most effective treatment method for the patient.
As soon as the acute pain subsides we try to lead the patient towards activity and we instruct him or her in special individually selected exercises geared to renew muscle balance, to correct posture and motion stereotypes – including breathing stereotypes, and to build up a so-called deep stabilizing system of the spine, which serves a pivotal role in the prevention of the above disorders.
Methods which we use:
• Pharmaceutical therapy, injections
