The Founder of OG Group Medical Centre – Elena Figurová, M.D.

Dr. Figurová was born in Martin, Slovakia, where she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Komensky University. She started her professional career in 1984. She focused her interest on gynecology and obstetrics to witness and to help the coming of new life in to the world. In the year 1987 Dr. Figurová gained her 1. certificate (specialization degree) and in 1992 the 2. certificate in Gynecology and Obstetrics (at that time, she was the youngest OBGYN in Slovakia).

Of course this was not the end of Dr. Figurova’s education. She completed various internships, for example in the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague (Department of Diabetology). Early on, she focused her interest on the field of high risk pregnant women and in 1992 she became the Head of the Department for high risk pregnancies at the Institute for Mother and Child Care in Prague 4.
In the year 1996, Dr. Figurová had the opportunity to work at Israel’s biggest maternity hospital named Misgav Ladach Hospital in Jerusalem.

Dr. Figurová advanced her professional knowledge and skills throughout several educational stays (traineeships) such as:
- Birth House Naples Florida – USA
- OB-GYN Department Of Hospital Gävle – Sweden
- OB-GYN Clinic of University Hospital Turku – Finland
Dr. Figurová regularly attends worldwide congresses, just recently in the field of gynecological endoscopy and questions (problems) of menopause.

Based on her extensive domestic and foreign experience and considering the increasing demand by Czech and foreign clients for private gynecological and obstetrical services, in 1995, Dr. Figurová opened her own private OB-GYN practice.
To this day, she has delivered several thousand babies to happy and content mothers who value Dr. Figurova not only for her professional care but also for her warm-hearted personality and loving care. Many moms continue to sent baby photos and thank you letters from all over the world.

After so many years of experience in private medical sector, Dr. Figurova has decided to broaden the extend of medical care provided to women also to their loved ones by founding the OG Group Medical Centre. besides gynecology and obstetrics, the clinic offers medical care in the pediatrics, internal medicine, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, dermatology, as well as neurology.
